Biography
Inspired, guided, and encouraged by his parents who are both artistically talented, Anthony spent his childhood sketching and painting wildlife and their environments. During his early art education, he received a scholarship from the Art Gallery of Ontario. Anthony honed his painting skills for several years while pursuing a career in Graphic Design hoping one day to paint full time. He is now an Art Director for a Toronto advertising firm and a father of three- he still finds time to venture into the outdoors to absorb and record natures colors, textures and details.
Since 1992, Anthony’s work has been accepted and well received in a number of popular art exhibitions and competitions such as Buck Horn Art Festival and Ducks Unlimited Sponsor Print Competition. He is also a member of the Worldwide Nature Artists Group and the Federation of Ontario Naturalists.
The last few years have presented Anthony’s art career with many challenges and positive surprises. As a departure from wildlife art he discovered an enthusiasm to paint in the footsteps of our traditional Canadian Art masters. This art expression of bold color and interpretive details continues to glorify the diverse beauty of our Canadian wilderness. Guided by this influence, he believes he has developed his own distinct art expression which continues to evolve with every finished canvas. |
