leaf shape business card for niagara parks
Die cut business cards make your business card any shape you can dream up – rounded, curved, lucky-charm…

Visuals make for powerful marketing. So why not use a custom shape as a reminder of what you do?

These custom cut cards are printed on our sturdiest stocks to keep edges and curves intact. Make colours jump out with a layer of coating for added saturation.

Almost anything! We’ve done everything from clean circles, ovals, leaves, and soft rounded corners. We can also do complex custom silhouettes too — like houses for realtors, tooth outlines for dentists, or custom waves for designers. As long as the shape fits within a 2" x 3.5" (or 3.5" x 2")  boundary line, we can usually make it happen.

With more complex shapes, you want to avoid incredibly thin, spindly cutouts or razor-sharp interior spikes (like the tiny points on a detailed comb, for instance). Super fine details can weaken the paper fiber and cause the edges to catch, tear, or bend over time. Not always a great look.

A die cut line tells our machine exactly where to cut your custom shape. If designing your own card, please provide a high quality PDF of your die-cut line, sized within 3.5" x 2". If you'd like us to create the shape for you, select "Yes". An additional fee applies and this service adds 1–2 business days to production.

Choosing a coated stock, like the 14 pt or 16pt seals the paper fibers in adding an extra layer of durability against peeling. It also makes your colours look more saturated and bright. Uncoated stocks have a slightly more textured look and will give the edges a slightly more fibrous finish.

Your final die-cut shape needs to fit inside our typical canvas size of 3.5" x 2" (or 2" x 3.5" for portrait layouts). When setting up your artwork file, make sure to add a standard 0.125” bleed around the outer edges. This means your total digital canvas size should be 3.75" x 2.25" so everything gets cut right to the print line and there are no colour gaps left.

We absolutely can! Designing for a custom shape can be a little tricky, but we make it easy. If you select "Yes, please!" under our design assistance menu at checkout, our team will work with you to lay out your text, place your logo perfectly, and add the die line for you.
