Art scanning turns physical artwork into a high-resolution digital file. We use professional calibrated scanners and polarized lighting setups to capture every fine line, texture, and stroke of your original piece without adding glare to the print. Once
scanned, the digital file is colour-corrected so it can be accurately reproduced on paper, canvas, or other print media. This service includes one 13" x 19" print along with the digital file.
High-quality printing requires capturing art at high resolution (300+ DPI at actual size) with balanced, glare-free lighting and colour calibration. While home desktop scanners often crop images or wash out textures, professional art scanning uses specialized equipment to preserve full colour depth and fine detail.
We calibrate our equipment to match your original as closely as possible, however we cannot guarantee an exact match.
No. Our scanning service is exclusively available for print projects produced in-house with Artista. We do not offer standalone digital file sales or export for third-party printing.
You will receive a high-resolution TIFF file in CMYK (for print production) and a JPEG in RGB (for website portfolios or social media). All files are delivered at 300+ DPI (high-resolution).
For the clearest scan free of reflections or shadows, artwork must be removed from frames and glass prior to drop-off.
Yes. We use cross-polarized lighting techniques specifically made to remove reflections from varnishes and acrylic textures while preserving the natural depth of your paint.
Our standard flat-rate service covers pieces up to 11" x 17". For oversized canvases or large-scale works, we use high-resolution capture methods—just contact us to let us know your piece’s dimensions for a quick estimate.
Standard turnaround is 5 to 7 business days from drop-off. If you're on a tight deadline, rush processing options are available at checkout.
We never alter your original work. Every piece is handled with extreme care in a clean, controlled environment and safely stored until you pick it up.
You retain 100% of the copyright and ownership of your original artwork and all resulting digital copies.
