Wire-O binding is the best binding option if you want to go with both a corporate and luxury look to your bind. Its clean metal loops make it perfect for annual reports, cookbooks, portfolios, menus and premium calendars.
It comes down to material and aesthetics. Standard spiral binding uses a continuous plastic coil for a durable, yet fun look. Wire-o binding services use pre-formed pairs of metal loops that clamp through square holes. Wire-O looks significantly more formal.
Wire-O handles documents from 10 pages up to roughly 300 pages (or about 1-inch of thickness). Because metal loops can lose their clean shape if a book gets excessively heavy, we recommend shifting to plastic spiral or cerlox if your project has more pages in it.
Black and silver are our executive standards. Black gives off a timeless, high-contrast look, while silver is more popular for bridal projects, look-books, and clean minimal designs. Contact our team about what colour wires we have before sending us your file.
Yes. While this website focuses on the standard dimensions popular in corporate environments, our manual binding equipment can handle custom sizes. If you have a non-standard sheet size or a unique project layout in mind, just drop us a custom quote request.
So the mechanical binding “teeth” don’t punch right through anything important, please design your files with a minimum gutter margin of 0.5 inches (13mm) on the edge where the wire will go. Keep all essential logos, page numbers, and text outside of this safe zone. Unsure which side the wire will go? Contact us – we can help!
